overall, Edward Cullen is your everyday vampire. with the pale skin, the beautiful looks that any girl or guy would kill to have, they put any gorgeous model to shame with their dashing looks. though his skin looks smooth and soft, it's almost the complete opposite; smooth, maybe, but soft, never. his skin is like granite, the only thing that could actually rip his skin would be another vampire and/or werewolf/shapeshifter.

he has those gorgeous golden topaz eyes that go along well with his messy bronze hair that always looks as if he just woke up. just like his family, Edward is always being stared at, whether because they are dazzled and/or envy all of them. he has a crooked smile that seems to make any female heart flutter, especially his love Bella.

Edward is a person of his own; he’s usually the quiet one in his family. For most of the years he’s been with his family, he was the only one without a mate, which caused him to be distant from anyone else around him. None of the other female vampires they’d meet in their years ever came appealing to him. Edward is the protective type, especially over his family. He is right there ready to fight at the command of his father, even though he knows Carlisle would never start a fight unless there was another way around it. He can have a bit of a temper when it comes to certain things.

Edward can be a pretty laid back guy, he has fun with his family and does his best to keep the human persona about him. Edward rarely shows any emotions or interest towards any humans that are around him and his family, he doesn’t feel the need to have them in his life when he knows that it can only lead to him being in trouble and the human possibly killed.

It wasn't until he met Bella did a little bit of his personality change. The protective side of him really came out and he did everything that he could to protect Bella from harms way, even though the girl did seem to attract danger no matter where she went. His love for her went down to the core; it was love at first sight and he showed her his love towards her everyday he got to see her. The monster in him sometimes wanted to take control, which would bring out the temper in Edward and cause him to get mad at himself, though sometimes, he would seem a bit angry with Bella.

Now that years have passed, he still very protective of Bella, he doesn't want to change her, but the fact that she said that she'd marry him if he changed her, doesn't make the vampire boy happy at all. He is stubborn as ever and will always be stubborn no matter what, he is the type to give Bella whatever she wants, as long as he does get something in return or else, he will not agree to it.

Edward Cullen was born on June 20, 1901 in Chicago, IL. His adoptive father, Carlisle Cullen, transformed him into a vampire in 1918 to prevent him from dying in the Spanish influenza epidemic in Chicago, Illinois.Carlisle instilled in him a sense of morality uncommon in most vampires, and central to his way of life is the refusal to consider humans as food. As the years went on, the family grew and Edward came to have an adoptive mother, Esme and adoptive siblings that were also had become vampires; Rosalie, Jasper, Emmett and Alice. He grew to know these strange people as his family and over the years, eventually came to love them as if they all really were a flesh and blood family. Though, before Emmett ever came into the picture, Rosalie had been picked by Carlisle for a mate for Edward, but he didn’t take a liking to her like that; she just didn’t appeal to him the way Carlisle did with Esme. Thus, that was when Rose found Emmett and wanted him for her mate.

They had lived in Forks, WA once, before they made the move to Alaska to live with the Denali coven, who were vampires just like them; only feeding on animals and never humans. As years past, the Cullen family finally departed away from the Denali coven and made their way back to Forks, WA where they started their lives once more. The Cullen kids were back attending school at Forks High School and things were the same as always. The humans were smart and stayed away from the Cullen kids, never making any kind of eye contact with them and never speaking to any of them either.

It wasn’t until two years after the Cullen’s came back to Forks did things take a turn for what seemed like the worst. Isabella Swan was born and Edward Cullen found himself attracted to her blood; it was the sweetest blood he’d ever smelled and wanted nothing more than to drain her of it. But another part of him wanted to keep her alive, to have that sweet smell of her blood always there and flowing through her.

When Bella and Edward finally started speaking, they got to know one another and Edward finally confessed to her of being a vampire when he knew that she knew he wasn’t any other human. Edward was happy with Bella and it seemed that she felt the same way; as the years went on, Edward and Bella went through some hard times. When things finally came around and the two of them got married, the Volturi made their show up after the two came back from their honeymoon and Bella giving birth to a human/vampire child. It was then that Edward had to make the change, turning Bella into a vampire as well. He knew it was the only way to ever save her and he didn't want to see her die that way.

After the Volturi came and went, Edward's bond had grew with the shapeshifters of La Push, he felt closer to Jacob and even saw the young boy as a brother and accepted him into their family, as well as Jacob did the same with the Cullen's.

samplepost| just to let you know, so i don't get accused, this is an RP post by me from another twilight site that i play on as Edward.

After the encounter with Bella Swan at the library, Edward had to get away; he needed to get away. As much as it was going to kill him to be a part from his family, he just had to do it. When he got home from the library, he didn't speak much to his family, barely said a word. Edward just rushed up to his room, grabbing clothes and rushed back outside, throwing the backpack over his shoulders and took off in a sprint. He wasn't going to stop until he was back in Alaska, until he reached the Denali clan.

Upon arriving there, Edward asked their permission to stay there for a few days, he only told them that he needed to clear his mind and thoughts. Luckily, they were happy to have at least one of the Cullens back in their home. Edward thanked them greatly and promised to not be such a burden in their life.

After a couple days, Edward was finding it hard to actually clear his mind. Everything, no matter what it was made him think back to Bella Swan. Just now, as he laid here on his back in the cold snow, staring up at the night sky, the image and thought of the human girl ran through his mind. He'd been hunting a lot as well, feeding to the point of blotation at times. The girls scent was forever embedded in his brain and he couldn't get it to go away, anytime something made him think of that human, her scent would fill his mind and cause the venom to burn in his throat.

Edward let out a small sigh, still trying to figure out why this girl drew him in like she did. And the most frustrating one of all, why he couldn't hear her mind. Was there something wrong with him? Or was it all this human's fault?
